The Punjab Education Department has taken serious note of the reports originating in certain quarters that the students who have passed their 10+2 examination from the Punjab School Education Board would not be issued Visas to study in Australia from now onwards. It’s a great concern with the education. Students will not be able to make their future secure so Department decided to take a step immediately with the Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Human Resource Development.  

It’s the priority basis as it concerns with the future of scores of students. (PSEB) is one of the best Boards in the Country and till date thousands of students who have passed out from the Board are studying in different parts of the world. Many have excelled in their respective fields thereby bringing laurels to both the Board and their State. The scope of Board’s functions is very wide and covers almost every aspect/stage of school education. It makes efforts to bring about qualitative improvement in school education. 

Till today no complaint has ever been received from any country so why this matter has started? Department has taken-up this issue at the highest level in order to make the bright future of students. So that no one will have to suffer. ¬ Government has appealed the students of Punjab board that if any student of the Board faces any difficulty regarding Visa then he should immediately bring the matter to the notice of the Chairperson of the Board, so that this matter is further raised at the highest level at the earliest.

Punjab government has decided to evolve a consensus about initiation of pre primary classes in government schools as the right way to improve educational standard from the formative primary level itself. This is the most appreciable novel step. Even it’s been deiced to conduct 5th and 8th standard examination by SCERT, as a need of the hour to further improve the standard of education in the country. 

It also has said to improve the infrastructural conditions of schools to bridge the gaps. The quality teacher will be selected for the schools for the improvement of education. The reports should be submitted within one year regarding steps taken and plans formulated to improve standard of education in Punjab. It will further lead to the employment in Punjab.
